Composite Blinds
The elegant look of Composite blinds provides all the benefits of natural Basswood blinds without any of its limitations. Composite is a wood alloy, manufactured in the U.S.A, which is composed of 70% wood and 30% thermoplastics. This specifically engineered material is surrounded with a vinyl casing that mimics the appearance of Basswood slats, but provides a consistent and uniform surface not found with a natural product such as true
wood. Composite is constructed with a polyvinyl casting that enforces durability and makes it resistant to fading, cracking, chipping, peeling and warping. This surface is also resistant to dents and scratches. Composite blinds are low maintenance, easily cleaned with just a damp cloth. A prime feature of Composite is its unique, non-absorbent surface that makes it perfectly suited for high-humidity areas such as bathrooms, kitchens and oceanfront
properties. Composite blinds are available in a variety of options and a large assortment of colors. In addition to decorative Crown valances, you can select from smooth or textured white colors as well as wood grain colors for your Composite blinds. Decorative cloth tapes can be selected to match the color scheme of any room, and a routless option is also available to reduce light leakage. For those who are interested in the functionality of a blind, but look of a shutter, a 2 1/2" Composite Plantation Shutter Slat is also available.
